How Hilton Grand Vacations Club Points Work
Each year, HGVC members are allotted a certain amount of points to use for their vacations. The specific amount depends on the details of each membership package. With your HGVC points in hand, there are several things you can spend them on.
Reservations
The main use of HGVC points is to make yearly reservations at Hilton resorts. Reservations can be made using your home week (at your home resort), or at other resorts in the Hilton network. This includes stays at affiliated resort chains such as Club Intrawest and Fiesta Americana Villas. Some fees may apply for certain reservation requests.
RCI Exchange
Hilton is affiliated with the timeshare exchange company Resort Condominiums International, allowing HGVC members to take advantage of their vast network of timeshare accommodations. Instead of using your HGVC points to book units at Hilton resorts, deposit them in RCI’s program and choose from up to 5,000 different resorts around the world. When reserving accommodations through RCI, some fees may apply.
HHonors Points
HGVC points can be converted to HHonors points, which could come in handy if you have extra points left over after you make your reservation. HHonors points can be used for a number of different things at Hilton locations, such as free giveaways, in-room extras, and more.
