A cheap and efficient way to travel is the Southern Teton Area Rapid Transit bus system. For $3 a person you can catch a one-way bus from Jackson to Teton Village. Rental cars are always available, but keep in mind that snow can make conditions difficult. Many hotels and resorts provide pick up to and from airports; if that is not available, taxis will be waiting when you arrive. AllTrans operates a shuttle as well, and can take you to a downtown or slopeside location.

If the National Parks are not enough—or too much—for you, there are a variety of other options for fun things to do in the area. Take a picnic at Jenny Lake, known for its crystal clear water. Visit the National Museum of Wildlife, or go on a Jackson Hole Aerial Tram Ride—it's a great way to get up the mountain. Visit the Chapel of Transfiguration for a little history, or Antelope flats to see wildlife. There is also shopping, spas, and fantastic dining in the area.

Known for the massive, jagged peaks reaching high into the Wyoming sky, the Grand Teton National Park mountains are an example of fault-block mountain formation. The Grand Teton stands 13,770 feet above sea level. When you visit, go hiking, boating, camping, climbing, kayaking, and photographing through the wonderful scenic vistas that the park boasts.

You'll find Jackson Hole Airport nearby, about seven miles north of Jackson in Teton County, Wyoming. This close location makes getting in and out of the area simple and hassle-free.
